Deputy Hubble was first hired by YCSO in July 2017 and after graduating from the Training Academy, was assigned to the northern area of the County in January 2018. He was also assigned as a Field Training Officer in 2021 for newly hired deputies to the agency.

Jesse was a US Navy Veteran, having received a Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism in 2007 for rescuing a Navy pilot whose helicopter had crashed into the ocean. He was also a committed local youth sports volunteer and coach.

Deputy Hubble was not only well respected by his peers and outside law enforcement agencies, but by the communities in which he served. He has been lauded by his superiors for his sound judgment in stressful situations, his calm and reserved demeanor, and his willingness to step up to assist in any capacity.

Last year Deputy Hubble was given an award by the members of the American Legion Robert Fulton Post 57 of Ash Fork for his selfless commitment to the community.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann and two children.

“Deputy Jesse Hubble served this Nation and in YCSO with humility, honor, and a servant’s heart,” said YCSO Sheriff David Rhodes. “His sacrifices will never be forgotten. Please join me and the entire Yavapai

County Law Enforcement community in offering our condolences to his wife and children. Jesse Hubble – we thank you for your life of service to your Country and your community.”

YCSO will be holding a fundraiser for the family and will provide more details in the future.
